Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  • The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration (or an explanation has been provided in Comments to the Editor).
  • The submission file is in OpenOffice, Microsoft Word, or RTF document file format.
  • Where available, URLs for the references have been provided.
  • The text is single-spaced; uses a 12-point font; employs italics, rather than underlining (except with URL addresses); and all illustrations, figures, and tables are placed within the text at the appropriate points, rather than at the end.
  • The text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author Guidelines.

Author Guidelines

1. Purpose and Scope

  • Aim of the Journal: The Journal seeks to publish cutting-edge research in all areas of science and computing, focusing on innovative methodologies and significant theoretical and practical advancements.
  • Relevant Topics: Submissions are invited in fields such as artificial intelligence, computational biology, data analytics, engineering, and systems architecture, among others.

2. Manuscript Preparation

  • Structure: Manuscripts should include the following sections: Abstract, Introduction, Methods, Results, Discussion, Conclusions, Acknowledgments (if applicable), and References.
  • Formatting Requirements: Use Times New Roman, 12-point font, double-spaced text, and 1-inch margins. Manuscripts should be submitted in Microsoft Word format.
  • Abstract: Limit to 250 words, outlining the research question, methodology, results, and significance of the study.

3. Citation and Bibliographic Style

  • Citation Style: The journal adheres to the APA (American Psychological Association) citation style. Please consult the latest edition of the APA manual for reference formatting.
  • Example Citation:
    • For journal articles: Author, A.A., Author, B.B., & Author, C.C. (Year). Title of article. Title of Periodical, volume number(issue number), pages. https://doi.org/xx.xxx/yyyyy
    • For books: Author, A.A. (Year of publication). Title of work: Capital letter also for subtitle. Publisher. ISBN.

4. Figures and Tables

  • Guidelines: All figures and tables should be cited in the text and included as separate files. High-resolution images (at least 300 dpi) in JPEG or PNG format are required.
  • Captions and Legends: Figures and tables must have concise captions and legends explaining their content without requiring reference to the text.

5. Ethical Guidelines

  • Research Ethics: Manuscripts involving human or animal subjects must include a statement on ethical approval.
  • Plagiarism: The journal strictly prohibits plagiarism. All submissions will be checked for originality using plagiarism detection software.

6. Submission Procedure

  • Online Submission: Manuscripts must be submitted through our online submission system. Please create an account and follow the prompts to upload your manuscript.
  • Peer Review: All submissions undergo a double-blind peer review process. The review period typically ranges from 4 to 6 weeks.

7. Publication Charges

  • APC: The journal charges an Article Processing Charge (APC 700USD) for each manuscript accepted for publication to cover publication costs.

Transactions on Computational and Scientific Methods (TCSM) are published Open Access. This means all articles are immediately available to read and reuse upon publication. Articles in TCSM journal can be downloaded, shared, and reused without restriction, as long as the original authors are properly cited.

Authors shall permit the publisher to apply a DOI to their articles and to archive them in databases and indexes such as CrossRef, SSRN, Indian Citation Index (ICI), J-Gate, Publon, Clarivate Analytics EndNote, Mendeley, Scribed, Google Scholar, ResearchBib, Science Central, Academia, DRJI, Follow Science, Indian Science, AcademicKeys, Research GATE, ISSUU, WikiCFP, DocStoc etc.

PERMISSION REQUESTS

For the vast majority of articles in TCSM journal, you do not need to seek permission from  for TCSM. The copyright of most articles remains with the authors, who have chosen to make the articles available for reuse under an open license, such as the Creative Commons Attribution License (CC-BY). These licenses permit reuse and adaptation, as long as the original authors are cited. The applicable license for all articles is included in the front matter of the article in human- and machine-readable formats.

Rarely, TCSM journal will contain material republished with permission under a more restrictive license. Where applicable, this will be clearly marked. In these cases, you may need to seek permission for reuse from the copyright holder.
