Optimizing Guide Shoe Wear Resistance in Shearers through Laser Cladding Process Parameters
Abstract
In this study, to guarantee the guiding function of the guide shoe in the interaction between the walking wheel and the pin row, the theoretical wear of the upper and lower wear-resistant layers throughout the guide shoe's effective period was examined. Additionally, the influence of laser cladding process parameters on the cladding was investigated. Based on these findings, the optimal process parameters for the guide surface of the laser-clad guide shoe were determined. This optimization aims to enhance the wear resistance of the guide surface and extend the service life of the guide shoe by over 20%.
